A/N: This chapter will consist soley of Kagome's dialogue.

I'd like to do something before we start. Please understand that I'm not writing this to get sympathy or reviews; it's just something that I felt I had to do.

Given the recent events in my life this prompt was difficult for me, and truthfully I almost didn't do it. But my daddy didn't raise a coward so here we are. My dad was the person who always believed in me even if I didn't believe in myself. He's the reason I actually worked up the nerve to post my first story here, and I want to dedicate this chapter to him. I miss you dad and I'll always love you! I'm going to keep trying to make you proud. Goodbye daddy.

 “You know, when I was little I never believed in things like fairytales, and myths. It was annoying how the characters in those stories just happened to find their soul mates along the way as they went through their various quests; it was all so unlikely. One day I asked my dad if love like that could really exist. He smiled and told me that he wasn’t the man to answer that for me, but that someday I’d find the man that could. I thought that man was Inuyasha…  I was wrong… I wish I could talk to daddy now.”
