More than gratified to see the spark of happiness efflorescing within her once more, I allow the barest hint of a smile to uplift the corners of my mouth.

For a moment she stiffens, obviously taken aback, no doubt surprised by This Sesshomaru’s uncharacteristic show of mirth.
