Even though I know such feelings are premature after so small a victory as I have achieved tonight, I am possessed with a sudden sense of ownership.

My presumption seems to be vindicated as the warmth from our joined palms travels upwards, spreading a tingling heat throughout my body before finally settling deep within my breast.

But no sooner had this new found peace consumed me than much to my chagrin the wind suddenly shifts bringing with it a most despised scent.

Inuyasha.
