Violent bursts of yōki saturated the atmosphere, making her skin crawl with trepidation. Aoi might have acted as her knight in shining armor, but she was certain he wouldn't hold back on this occasion. She felt smothered just by standing near him and wondered if he had always restrained for her sake.

"Make sure Kōga-kun doesn't get killed," the miko instructed Inuyasha, but he shook his head in refusal.
