Valentines Challenge: Lupercalia Festival

Kagome and Sesshomaru sat talking about anything and everything. Today was just one of those wonderful days where Sesshomaru had no work to do. This was the best gift Kagome could ever get for Valentines. He was always busy doing something and when they had a few minutes of peace alone someone would always show up and ruin it. She knew by the end of the day she would completely forgive him even though she already did.

“My lord” A gruff voice called.

“What” Sesshomaru snarled turning his eyes onto a scout of the west.

“This just came in for you” The scout gulped before tossing him the scroll.

“I said I do not want to be disturbed” Sesshomaru snapped.

“It’s alright Sesshomaru, what is it?” Kagome asked motioning to the scroll.

Sesshomaru sighed and waved off the scout. The scout took off happily to get out of the way of her mates claws. He opened the scroll and a flower fell out of it and into his lap. It was a beautiful flower but she couldn’t think of what they were called.

“It looks like the Wolf is inviting us to the Lupercalia Festival this year” Sesshomaru said with a frown.

“I don’t think I will be going” Kagome said with a nervous laugh remembering some of the tails told to her about it.

“I don’t blame you mate. It also looks like the wolf’s trade of his Cardamom spice will be ready soon” He said handing her the flower.

“So that’s what this is?” Kagome asked.

“That is a Cardamom flower that is sent to us every year so we can prepare some of our own spices to trade with his” Sesshomaru said.

“When did you begin trading with them?” Kagome asked.

“The question mate is when did you begin trading with them?” Sesshomaru said with a smirk.

“Are you serious?” Kagome asked.

“Before we said our vows me and the wolf set up a trade route as you are there sister. The deed to the trade awaits you in your office. I didn’t find it appropriate to bring such an important document out here” He said.

“Thank you!” Kagome squealed throwing herself at her mate.
