Word Count: 100 

Shippo reeked of aniseed causing Kagome to look at him curiously. His sense of smell might not be as strong as Sesshomaru’s but it was strong enough that he wouldn’t wear such a strong scent voluntarily.

Shippo, reading the look correctly, shrugged. “Since they can’t hunt down other demons and you disapprove of blood trails, Sesshomaru had me lay the scent trail for the Council’s Hunt and because I don’t particularly want to be the scent target of a demon at hunt I used a commercial drag.”

Kagome smiled. “Trust Sesshomaru to still find a fox to hunt even indirectly.”
