Chapter 94: Function

“You have to promise me that you won’t tell them, Sango-chan,” Kagome pleaded. “Please.”

“Who’s going to look after you?” Sango countered.

“I could get a guide dog. It’s not like I won’t be able to function by myself.”

“What about work?”

“My boss knows about it already.” Kagome wrung her hands. “Well, sort of. He’s already suspected that something’s been going on. Shippou-san’s a worrywart if I ever saw one.”

“I still don’t like this,” Sango replied uneasily. “It’ll be hard to adjust. You know that, don’t you?”

Kagome smiled. “Better than anyone.”
