Chapter 91: Flux

When Sesshoumaru ambled back into the kitchen, he was surprised to find Kagome wrapped up in an embrace. The sound of heavy sobbing reached his ears as the woman named Sango cried over her shoulder. Catching Kagome’s gaze, he motioned to the distraught female, confused. He frowned when she shrugged and gave him a sad smile.

Her expression made him feel ill.

Hesitating for a moment, he stepped back through the doorway and went to the living room, where he dropped onto the couch. He threw an arm over his eyes and sighed.

The day had been nothing but strange.
