Chapter 89: Ferocity

“Very mature,” Sango said dryly. “Which five-year-old did you steal that from?”

Kagome frowned as she glared down at her beige shorts. “I’m only going to say this once, Sango-chan: I don’t appreciate being interrogated,” she warned. “You can’t just show up at my house and start demanding things.”

Sango’s gaze narrowed. “Why are you being so defensive? I just want to make sure you’re not getting in way over your head with this guy.”

At this, Kagome’s shoulders slumped, and it seemed the fight had been sucked out of her. “I’m sorry. I’ve been more stressed than usual.”
