Chapter 85: Fight

The tension in the air was palpable.

Kagome held back from bashing her head against the kitchen table, forcing her hands onto her lap, clasping them together. Sesshoumaru’s gaze was hard, eyes sharp like a pair of poisonous, yellow diamonds. The rest of his expression was bare, flawless and calm.

Sango wasn’t as composed.

She ground her teeth, face turning red with rage. “I don’t care if you’re a multimillion-dollar man! Leave Kagome-chan alone!”

“You are sadly mistaken if you believe you can negotiate with me.”

Sango scowled at his haughty tone. “I’m not asking.”

“Neither am I.”
