Chapter 65: Freedom

“I like my independence,” Kagome confessed, her voice low. “But more than anything, I value my freedom.”

Sesshoumaru nodded, showing that he understood.

“I acknowledge that both will be taken away from me. Soon.” She frowned at this. “Whether or not it’s your fault, Sesshoumaru-san, it doesn’t really matter. However, I can’t help but to think that it’s unfair, and something that I don’t particularly like. Your celebrity status will put me in a tough place.”

The man contemplated her words in his head, finding her opinions on the matter valid.

He would be an inconvenience to her.
