Chapter 63: Forewarning

“So… You’re still here.” Kagome winced as she considered her rude statement. “Not that I’m kicking you out or anything! You can stay here for as long as you want! Okay, maybe not since, um, I’m sure you’ve got other obligations–”

“Kagome-san.” The woman’s rambling ceased immediately. Sesshoumaru continued in a soft rumble, “As tempting as that offer sounds, it had not been my intention to take advantage of your hospitality.”

“Okay… Why did you come back? Well, besides getting my number, that is,” she added playfully.

Sesshoumaru sighed. “I wished to warn you about the future.”
