Chapter 58: Focus

Kagome yawned widely as her joints erupted in a series of satisfying cracks along her body.

“Mm… That one was good,” she breathed, eyes fluttering open. Her eyebrows soon pinched together in confusion when sunlight fell into her gaze. The scent of the blanket teased her senses. “This…smells like a man.” She took a delicate sniff. “Cologne?” she mumbled, drawing it away from her face. Pursing her lips, she reflected on the previous night’s events.

Movie night? Check.

Ice cream? Check.

Handsome guy? Check…?

Spazzing eyes? Definitely.

Blanket? Um, what?

“It’s waaay too early for this…” she moaned.
