Chapter 52: Fuss

Resisting the urge to brush Sesshoumaru’s bangs out of his face, Kagome moved to retrieve a blanket from the closet. Mindful of her guest, she tried to keep her footsteps light as she tiptoed in the dark, deciding that turning on the lights was unnecessary.

In no time, she returned to the living room, nearly dwarfed by the large blanket in her arms. Huffing softly, she set it beside Sesshoumaru before coaxing him to lay on his side. A low grumble came from the man’s throat, but he shifted easily without further protest, his legs and the blanket following afterward.
