A/N: Went to see Man of Steel yesterday and got distracted… Henry Cavill is a fine specimen of a man. Not sorry that I didn’t post more chapters last night. :3 Update 1 of 3.

Chapter 48: Flattery

Kagome laughed, dispelling all of the previous tension into the air. Sesshoumaru didn’t know if he should be relieved or insulted that she was so amused at his expense. Deciding to be an equal mixture of both, he settled for a small huff and a mild glare.

“I’m flattered!” Kagome placated. “You came to me in person when you could’ve sent a message or something. And, um, especially with your arm! What happened to it, anyway? It’d been fine when you left– I mean, it’s only been a few hours since I’ve seen you!”

“There was an accident…”
