Chapter 47: Forget-Me-Not

“You never answered my question from before, Sesshoumaru-san.” Kagome’s expression was guarded as she continued, “Why did you just show up on my doorstep? What was so important that you couldn’t give me a call?”

The disgruntled, young woman wasn’t about to allow the businessman’s looks to keep being a distraction. She wanted answers, and she wanted them now–previous impressions be damned.

Sesshoumaru, on his part, took in the firm line of her mouth, frowning at the crease between her brows. A volatile female was definitely not on his to-do list today.

“…I did not have your number.”
