Chapter 41: Fright Night

“Hold on a second! I’ll be right there!” Kagome quickly pushed the power button of her TV remote and jumped to her feet, wondering who could possibly be visiting her at–she glanced down at her watch–at seven o’clock at night. Sometimes, her friends would drop by her apartment to check in on her, but they usually let her know first. As far as she knew, she wasn’t expecting any visitors…

Shuffling in her house slippers, the woman forgot to look through the little viewing hole of the front door before she swung it open, nearly jumping back in surprise.
