Chapter 248: Gateway to the Unknown

Kaede’s self-appointed assistant sported a nasty bruise on the side of his face, probably the result of when Mistress Centipede had become particularly peeved by his constant distractions.

Pausing to glance at Kagome in curiosity, he asked, “What’ll we do with her?”

“She’ll be returning to the village with us. We must also bring Yuuto home to his family, for it’s no longer wise to stay out in the open.” Her lone eye swept over the tree line at the edge of the forest. “We don’t know what else may be lurking around. Two outsiders are more than enough company.”
