Chapter 232: Gastric Acid

Kagome bit the inside of her cheek so hard that blood lined her tongue.

It tasted like copper.

“What year is this?” she whispered to herself, the void in her gut growing wider with each passing moment. She felt lightheaded and so very ill. “Is this some kind of a joke?”

Of course, being only two feet away, Kaede caught every word of her rambling disbelief. “None of what you’re saying makes sense. Explain yourself!”

Frustrated with the situation, Kagome yelled back, “I don’t know how to! And even if I did, you wouldn’t believe me if I told you!”
