Chapter 230: Growl

“Who are you?”

The sudden inquiry brought Kagome out of her tirade. “What does that–”

“Just answer the question.”

Barely controlling her temper, the younger woman said, “My name is Kagome.” She breathed slowly, trying to calm down. They really didn’t have time for this. Pleasantries could be exchanged later. “What’s yours?”

“You may call me Kaede,” the elder replied, cocking a brow at the girl’s aggressive bearing. Where did she come from?

Ice erupted in Kagome’s veins at the familiar name. She had been too focused on Mistress Centipede that she didn’t realize it sooner. “I… know you.”
