Chapter 225: Guzzle

Eventually, the time came when Kagome could no longer maintain her barrier, and her temporary defense shattered into a million, sparkling shards of light. Mistress Centipede rushed at her then, capitalizing on her moment of vulnerability, and delivered a vicious bite to her side. Mind numbed in shock and excruciating pain, the inexperienced priestess didn’t even fight back as she was thrown up into the air, Tessaiga slipping from the loop of her shorts, and fell into an unceremonious heap on the ground.

Agony.

Disbelief.

She could only thank the higher powers when Rikichi and his men provided another distraction.
