Chapter 192: Guillotine

“Centipede! It’s a centipede, Sesshoumaru! Didn’t I tell you?” Kagome wailed, eyes impossibly wide at the monster’s appearance. “And she’s half-naked! Do you even know what a shirt is, lady!?”

“Insulting it is not wise, woman,” Sesshoumaru cautioned, drawing the shell-shocked female behind him.

“I told you–”

“And I told you to be quiet.” Kagome’s immediate silence allowed him to focus his full attention on the being before them. Tessaiga’s urgent thrumming did nothing to alleviate his nerves.

“Oh, a lover’s quarrel perhaps?” the grotesque creature laughed. “Worry not, for it will end soon enough!”
