Chapter 178: Glad

“Kagome?” The familiar baritone rumble rolled over her in waves of silk. Her name had been murmured with a hint of confusion, but the woman didn’t care.

“Yes,” she breathed, deliriously happy now that he was awake. “I’m here, Sesshoumaru.”

“What happened?”

“You fainted,” was her blunt answer. “But I don’t know why. We’re not that far down that oxygen’s a problem. If I’d known that Tessaiga was the key to bringing you back, I would’ve fetched the darn thing sooner!”

Having only been conscious for about a minute, Sesshoumaru frowned at her rambling.

“…What?”
