Chapter 167: Groggy

The air was moist, and the smell of dirt and dust was strong in his nostrils.

While the narrow passageway presented more hazards than he cared to acknowledge, Sesshoumaru found he was mostly reluctant to part with the only physical contact he had with the female. The warmth of her skin sent a pleasant tingle through his palm as her fingers hugged his own. As irrational as his current thoughts were, they were probably due to the dismal amount of oxygen being pumped into his brain.

“Let’s go back, Sesshoumaru.”

He frowned, half-aware of his own petulance.

“No.”
