Chapter 163: Gap

Kagome swallowed nervously. “I’m… Fine. Considering that I’d almost lost a foot just now.” The pair stared at the newly-made hole with varying degrees of apprehension. “Grandpa’s going to kill me.”

Sesshoumaru merely grunted in response, rolling up his sleeves. Ignoring the female’s bewildered look, he squatted down and shifted his gaze toward the darkness enveloping the ground. The box had fallen completely through the gap, taking a few pieces of the floorboards with it.

Knock.

Kagome’s eyebrows drew together as she bit the inside of her cheek.

Knock. Knock. Knock.

“I really hope you’d stop doing that, Sesshoumaru…”
