Chapter 141: Gentlemen’s Agreement

“Your way of evading my questions is worrying,” Sesshoumaru bluntly stated. “Though I do not expect you to delve into personal matters whilst in my presence, I would appreciate it if you were forthright with me in terms of your health. Friends… They help each other with burdens, yes?”

Kagome bit her lip. “Usually,” she replied. “But what if this is a `personal matter’?”

The man mulled it over, weighing his options. “I’ll not pressure you to tell me. Just bear in mind that I will lend a shoulder or keep an ear open should you need a confidant.”
