Chapter 132: Furtive Tactics

“Is something the matter?”

Kagome casted a glance over her shoulder and then shook her head. “I never told him my name.”

“The old man?”

“Yeah… He knew about my family, but if he just found out that I’m a Higurashi… I don’t know if this is a sign of good luck or misfortune.”

“Explain.”

“It could have been a test from the gods. I know it sounds farfetched, but why else would he try to pawn off the Jewel when it supposedly disappeared centuries ago? The power I sensed from it… It was unreal.”
