“So, Kagome. What did ye come for?” Kaede asked, sitting on her wooden stool. Kagome reached into her yukata and pulled out her little coin purse.

“The usual, for mother. She’ll be upset that it’s three days late, though.” Kagome sighed, placing her bag in the hands of the elder priestess.

Kaede nodded, standing slowly to procure the girl’s medicine.

“Tell me, Kagome. How are your lessons faring?”

Kagome felt a burst of excitement as she babbled for hours about how she had improved in her archery, catching the interest of “Fluffy,“ who glanced towards her with piqued curiosity.
