Two days had passed since the attack, and Kagome felt determined to create a bond between her and the creature.

“Now, I need a name to call you. Let’s see… Fluffy! How’s that?” Kagome propositioned, ’Fluffy’ walking beside her.  She could have sworn his brow twitched at the suggestion.

 “No? I’m not very good at this, huh?”  she laughed nervously at his expression.

He closed his eyes, sitting quietly. Kagome smiled, kneeling and patting her knees.

“Come here, Fluffy!”

Despite her childish antics and his clear disapproval of his new name, he sat up and obediently trotted her way.
