After waking in Kaede's hut, Kagome frantically searched for her furry companion, sighing in relief when she saw that he was resting comfortable in the farthest corner of the room. Kaede had just entered as she woke, looking directly to the girl as she did.

Kagome moved towards the white creature, carefully taking him into her lap as she adjusted them to where they would be more comfortable.

“He seems better." Kagome smiled, humming softly as she stroked his white fur gently. He stirred softly, only to be lured back to sleep by her mellisonant voice.

“Shh… You’re safe now.”
