Once the food was brought out and Kagome got her first taste she hummed in approval as the flavor exploded across her tongue.

Sesshomaru gave her a soft smile, “Does it taste good my sweet?”

Kagome gave him a bright smile, “Oh it is very delicious would you care to try it?”

Sesshomaru smirked giving her a nod. Kagome smiled as she lifted the fork with food on it to his lips. A few of the female guests that saw this could not suppress the “aw” that came out when Sesshomaru’s lips closed around the food and he hummed his approval as well.

Princess Emi who was still their watched the whole thing and decided that she was glad that she had not interfered since they looked so happy with each other. “Father I wish to give them a special gift to apologize for my actions since we have been here.”

Lord Atsushi gave his daughter a questioning look, “Now why would you do that? With the way your behavior has been since we got here a request like that concerns me greatly.”

Princess Emi looked down in shame, “I did not believe that he really loved her and that she could really make him happy but looking at them now I see that I was wrong. You can tell just by looking at him that he loves her deeply and she is the same. Also, it seems that he is not as cold as he once was so that leads me to believe that she has made him happy as well because honestly who really could have opened him up the way he is tonight than someone that he truly loves and is happy with?”

Lord Atsushi seeing that his daughter had finally seen reason nodded his agreement for her to give them a special gift.
