Love of a Warrior

Looking upon my life, of all the years that had gone by.  I never would had imagined my life as it is today.  Pain…betrayal…sadness…friendship…and love.  All these emotions had brought me to what I am now.

 Love has made me stronger with the growing of my powers, and as my mate once said, if I have someone to protect, my strength will become my will.  He was most definitely speaking the truth.

Sighing softly to herself, as she laid the pen down, and closed her diary. She glanced over at the sleeping infant lying in a pink bassinet next to her, and smiled softly down at her. 

Reaching up, she tucked the loose strands of her black hair that kept falling across her right eye, and slowly as to not wake her daughter, she placed one hand under her daughter’s silver fuzzy head, and one hand under her back to gently lift her from the bassinet.

Walking over to the bench by her bedroom bay window, she sat down upon the pile of pillows, and brought her daughter even closer to her, as she reclined back.

Softly running her finger down the sleeping infants face, she couldn’t help but think of the past, of the fights that had to take place in order to beat the evil that had risen.

“Kagome”, turning towards the door, Kagome saw her mate Sesshomaru standing there with a soft look in his eyes where only she could be witness to it. “You must let little Ayako sleep”.

Looking down at her, she nodded. “My mate….I still cannot believe of everything that has happened to bring us to where we are today”. Glancing up at him with love in her eyes, Kagome stood up, and walked back over to the bassinet, slowing laying her daughter back down.

Turning towards him, as he walked up next to her, she wrapped her arms around his waist, and tail around his thigh. Sesshomaru leaned over, and placed a chaste kiss upon the half-moon on her forward. 

Kagome knew that Sesshomaru could not display his affections so openly, but showed her in his brief touches of his love for his mate.

 Tilting her face up, she leaned up, and placed her lips upon Sesshomaru’s, and gasped into the kiss, for he quickly leaned into the kiss…deepening it with his hunger for her. Letting his growl vibrate against her  lips.

 He rose up both arms, and placed them around her waist, pushing her tighter up against him. Feeling her breast crushed against his chest, his growling had gotten louder, but suddenly stopped, when Kagome had growled back at him in desire.  Leaning his head back, he smirked down at her, and she, returning his smirk back with one of her own.

“Poor mate ”  Quickly glancing over at their daughter, Kagome made a move to back out of his arms, when he suddenly pulled her back, and leaned over to whisper in her ear. “Remember last night? I can remind you,” Kagome quickly remembered, and blushed.

“Mate remember how we first met, and what it took to get us here?”  Sesshomaru tilted his head to the side…white hair falling over his shoulder, and regarded her with a sparkle in his eyes. “Yes…it was how I had gotten the love of a warrior” leaning his head forward, he recaptured Kagome’s lips.

Authors note : Sorry I couldn’t make this longer. For now it’s a one shot til I have the time to write any more to it. I have a lot of ideas of where I want to take this story. My 4yr old daughter is now in remission from stage 5 kidney cancer, so my mind had  always  been overloaded here lately.
