Make Me

The rain was heavy today.  She stared out the window of the library of the Western Fortress, watching the precipitation hit the window and slide away wearily.  How well she understood their exhaustion.  For too long now, had the West been at war with Naraku.  Too long had her mate been away, on the battlefield.  

She was alone.  Gray.  Cold.  Worried.  

"You will come with me," came the brisk, hard voice of Kagura from behind her.  

Kagome clenched her hands into fists.

"And if I refuse?"  

Kagura smirked, her fan tapping restlessly.  

"Please do.  I would love to make you."
