“Fairy-chan! Wake up, we’re leaving now!” Kagome groaned, snuggling deeper in the little girl’s spare obi belt. It’s been hectic for the past few days. She lost her group of friends in the wind of things, nearly been eaten by a crow and was almost stampeded by a herd of deer. She wasn’t sure if she could consider herself fortunate to be founded by Sesshomaru’s group. She was surprised Sesshomaru allowed her to accompany his posse, though she could tell the little girl’s pleading worked charms on the apathetic demon.

“Rin-chan, I told you many times that my name is Kagome.”

“Rin knows, but you look like a fairy!” She exclaimed, picking up the makeshift bedding and removing Kagome’s body from the wraps.

The impish demon wielding a staff with two heads shouted his disapproval once again. “You stupid girl! That wench is no fairy. If I was a fairy, I would take that implication as a direct insult to my own kind!”

“Jaken, silence yourself.” Jaken immediately held his tongue, not wishing to invoke the ire of his lord so early in the morning.

Rin giggled, before whispering in a conspiratorial manner towards the woman. “If Jaken-sama was a fairy, he would be a mean and ugly fairy don’t you think so Fairy-chan?”

Kagome giggled nervously while the boisterous remarks of disrespect and whatnot chimed in the small clearing before the sound of two objects hitting together with such force silenced any other commentaries.
