-Pleasantly Surprised-

Kagome was observing him. For what reason; one could only guess the stifling boredom that encompassed her being from her current residence here in the Lady Mother’s castle. To sit idly by with no source of entertainment safe enough for her to participate could lead anyone to just stare at an interesting object. The hunched figured was fascinating enough to procure her attention. She watched on her stomach, noting the way his mouth moved discreetly when reading the words on the parchment, the way his fingers caress the corners of his eyes or the fact he did have some temporary blemishes beneath his lower lids from lack of sleep.

He looked dreadfully humanistic, and it surprised her.
