Sesshomaru pondered how the priestess can become so comfortable in his presence, knowing that a few of his deeds and capabilities can cause a minor being to tremble in fear, but yet, here she laid, snuggled on the cushion curled in fetal position. She remained awake for a few hours, just watching him continue his research before the stroke of sleep finally hit her. It was strange for the woman to completely trust him in her current unconscious state; he could easily crush her form with minimal effort, or rip her head with a single pluck.

The sun arose an hour ago; he could already hear the starting mumbles of the woman and inaudibly sighed with frustration at the current complication. Soon he’ll hear the questions about his task. Wishing to prevent that, gently as possible, he laid her form on the flat surface of the floor before placing the wooden bucket over her. A short relief with its consequences but at the moment, he couldn’t care any less.
