“What is that girl to you Sesshomaru, why do I must exhaust my energy to aid you,” She closed her eyes in frivolity. “Do I have to do everything for you, do you want me to reign your lands or simply wipe your bottom when you release your bowels.”

Wow, this is embarrassing, Kagome thought, the woman had no shame in humiliating Sesshomaru in front of everybody. She released a choked gasp when Sesshomaru’s grip became tight. “Sesshomaru, I can’t breathe!” She squeaked out, her hands futilely pushing against his hands.

“Well?” His mother waited for an answer. However, he still doesn’t know why he was assisting this tiny woman for. Maybe it has something to do with Naraku and he simply wanted a way to throw a wedge in his plans. After all, he wasn’t ashamed from using underhanded tactics for revenge. Or maybe because the wench was an ally, and he had a misplaced sense of honor to help her. Either way, he won’t benefit as much in either scenarios.

“Knowledge is a form of power, if I acquire a way to reverse this curse, if that half-demon uses said curse on this Sesshomaru, it would prove beneficial in the scheme of things to counter it.” 

“Beneficial you say, so practical.” His mother purred. “You may look in my libraries, but I want your little human to accompany me in my study.”

Sesshomaru took the offer, however it wasn’t what he intended as an answer.

“Unbelievable that you don’t know of the answer.” He walked off, heated from the lack of responses he was getting today. He relinquished the little figure near the seat rail of the throne before walking towards the entrance of the castle with Rin and Jaken quickly following behind.

Kagome was panicking, more like hysterical of being alone in the presence of the older woman. The demoness gathered the folds of her kimono, before beckoning the girl to follow her. Kagome grumbled at the treatment, and cautiously climbed down the throne.

I can see the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.
