-Mother Dearest-

He looked above, glancing at the shapes of clouds, waiting for a presence.

“Rin-chan, what is he doing?” Kagome asked shivering, the early eve making its appearance from the scalding humidity from before.

“Sesshomaru-sama is waiting for his mother to open the barrier.” Rin answered, playing with the crown of daisies in her hands. Jaken stood behind, shuddering from the ominous implication that surrounded Sesshomaru’s mother. “Jaken-sama is scared of her.” Jaken squawked out another boring phrase involving disrespectful little girls.

Soon a tremendous amount of pure energy was made known. Kagome’s eyes widened, the prickles on her flesh rising from the sheer amount of power defined by the display. A flash appeared and a woman stood in the small crater before Sesshomaru.

“Sesshomaru.”
