Chapter 89: Embrace

Kagome finished plaiting her husband’s hair and leaned into his side, bringing her arms around him. Sesshoumaru gave her a gentle squeeze in response and hummed softly, keeping his gaze out over the water. His lips quirked up into a half-smile when he spotted the ducks he had threatened earlier on in the day. They had flown away when the couple had returned to the bridge for their meal.

Sesshoumaru had been vaguely surprised when he’d seen the untouched takoyaki. They were cold, but otherwise the same as how he’d left them.

Perhaps the birds were smarter than he’d thought.
