Sincerity

Disclaimer: Though it saddens me to say it, I don’t own anything relating to Takahashi-sensei’s Inuyasha. However, the plot and/or ideas of this drabble series do belong to me.

A/N: None. :) Update 2 of 3.

Chapter 51: Sincerity

Sesshoumaru had resolved to never break his vows.

As a child, he’d been slapped in the face with countless of them from both of his parents.

There had been promises to spend more time as a family, promises to stop fighting, and promises to always be together. Ironically, these “promises” had only resulted in disappointment and resentment in the end.

Sesshoumaru had learned early on that words could be pretty, yet wicked and spiteful when twisted with selfish interests. Unless they were carried through with specific actions, they held no weight, no meaning.

And they would have no honor.
