Facing Reality

Disclaimer: Though it saddens me to say it, I don’t own anything relating to Takahashi-sensei’s Inuyasha. However, the plot and/or ideas of this drabble series do belong to me.

A/N: Sibling bonding. Love it? Dislike it (hate is a strong word, m’dears)? Drop me a note and let me know! :) Update 1 of 2.

Chapter 25: Facing Reality

I hate hospitals,” Inuyasha said, resting his cheek on his hand. His shoes tapped against the floor anxiously. “They suck.”

Watching his brother squirm uncomfortably in his seat, Sesshoumaru could understand his extreme dislike for them. Izayoi, Inuyasha’s mother, had succumbed to her cancer a few years back, and the wound from that tragedy had barely scabbed over–it wasn’t even close to healing, and yet he was forced to return to this godawful place.

But then again, Sesshoumaru wasn’t in any better shape.

Facing his own personal crisis head-on filled him with regrets he didn’t know he had.
