Chapter 15: Insecurity

After many playful romps between their bedsheets, Sesshoumaru hadn’t been surprised when Kagome told him that she was pregnant.

Well, if having a minor panic attack was the equivalent of being calm and collected, he had done a terrific job.

While he couldn’t fault his longtime girlfriend for being excited about their New Year’s baby, his main concern had been if he would be a good father. Despite Kagome’s reassurances, he hadn’t had the best childhood in the world, and his parents had missed most of the important events in his life.

Their child didn’t deserve to go through that.
