Chapter 119: Admission

Touga approached as closely to his firstborn as he dared, eyes glowing with concern. The scents of blood, smoke, and death clung to his son, and by association, his daughter-in-law.

“Sesshoumaru?” he murmured softly, carefully, lest he disturbed the younger man even further. “What happened?”

“We were attacked by humans…” was Sesshoumaru’s muddled answer. His arms tightened around his wife’s frame, and a growl sounded in his throat. “Naraku hired them.”

Touga’s jaw tightened, recognizing the despicable male’s name. “What did you do?”

“I hunted.” At this, Sesshoumaru smiled and stepped toward his father. “And they disappeared.”
