Chapter 118: Haven

When Sesshoumaru finally touched down upon the grounds of his father’s estate, he had nearly sighed in relief as the elder met him in the garden. His hands shook as his recent adrenaline rush began to fade, his frazzled instincts making him dizzy.

They weren’t out of the woods yet, but for now…

They would be safe… Kagome would be safe.

Although the Taishou patriarch hadn’t been around much in his childhood, Sesshoumaru knew that he would never completely abandon his pack. His presence gave him a sense of security he wouldn’t care to admit aloud, but it was welcoming.
