Prompt: Scarlet

The atmosphere in the room was tense as Inuyasha's eyes were slowly turning scarlet. When he was in his demon form---he was out-of-control. Sango was hiding behind Miroku, rather he was the one protecting her. No one outside knew that the demon currently in the bathroom, furious at his hanyou brother, eyes were turning scarlet as well. 

Apparently Sesshomaru's inner beast had taken some sort of 'possesive-ness' towards Kagome. Inuyasha's behavior was making his beast feel threatened. He cracked his knuckles. He would leave and knock some sense into him. He was no coward. He would not hide.

Kagome was worried. what would happen if Sesshomaru stormed out of the bathroom?! would they fight and injure each other? surely she couldn't take a fluffy-eared demon to the hospital and Sesshomaru would never allow human filth to touch 'his person' ---Kagome was an exception. 

The door to the bathroom opened and Sango prayed for the best, hand tightening on Miroku's shoulder with obvious worry. Sesshomaru stared at Inuyasha and vice versa. kind of like a stare-down. No one moved. No one breathed. Inuyasha looked over behind Sesshomaru, which was rude---as Sesshomaru technically was considered alpha of the group. 

"Feh! I knew you two were up to something! Kagome how dare you sneak behind my back! you know I can beat you for your betrayal! you are my mate!" Inuyasha said. He couldn't believe it really. What else had they done? she smelled like him. He growled something in inu-tongue (apparently it wasn't anything good) since Sesshomaru said something that made Inuyasha's hair stand on end like he'd been slapped or beaten up. 

Sesshomaru punched Inuyasha and his eyes started turning to their normal color. Kagome could swear everyone was breathing a sigh of releif.....just like her. 

Now on to the feudal era...
