Valentine’s Day Countdown

Prompt: Almond

Shippo and Rin were in the kitchen as they rummaged through to find something to eat or drink. Sango was upstairs with Kagome as the guys sat in silence not knowing what to say to each other. They would have to spend the night here in Kagome’s home. Some were excited, some were dreading it and some were going to make sure their bedroom doors were locked…tight.

Rin opened the fridge and pulled out a carton and read “Almond Milk.” Shippo who had found cookies (currently munching on them) asked what it tasted like. Milk went well with cookies. Rin said she’d pour him a glass.

“Almond Milk is good for you because it doesn’t have any cholesterol, lactose or animal products. It kind of from the middle-east and East Asia .It was a staple of the medieval times since cow milk went bad after a while. ” Rin said. Shippo blinked as he took the glass from her hand asking her how she knew all this.
