Prompt 142:  Weird Couples

-Hut- (With Inuyasha)

After reassuring himself that Kagome and Sesshomaru didn’t have any sort of relationship or feelings for each other he stopped pacing and took a deep breath. Perhaps Sango’s words had some effect on him? Ok. Yeah. Kagome was smarter than to ‘hook up’ with someone like Sesshomaru. She’d rather run in the other direction as soon as she saw Sesshomaru approach her.

Well…..

He shook his head then something occurred---rather a revelation dawned on him from the heavens themselves….

“Then why the hell are they in the forest to begin with? Alone. In the dark. Unable to be located from even Sesshomaru’s damn army? Who are demons btw and could easily find them. It’s almost like they are hiding whatever their up to? What? Are they playing ‘hide and go seek?’  (This ‘game name’ he’d learned from Kagome) Or something along those lines?!” Inuyasha asked (rather yelled) to the whole hut.

‘……..’

He was about to storm out of the hut when Sango voice stopped him as she slowly stood. Knowing both brothers and their behaviors when angry and irritated to even see each other? Well….

He walked a step towards her---almost seemed like a menacing predatory way which made Miroku tense and he stood up next to her. A reminder to them all (the whole tachi) they were just allies with the same goal. It would take just a second….

Inuyasha? He was just damn lucky that he hadn’t been ‘taken out’ given how many holy people they had in their tachi and also a demon slayer…..

“Like you would know! (Pointing rudely) You know very well that they make an odd---a weird couple which they are NOT! Sesshomaru never and would ever even consider a HUMAN to mate with let alone be his concubine/consort to have heirs! Besides demonic royal court would look down on him and question his rights and authority over the damn western throne he’s currently on!” Inuyasha started.

“Hell they’ll probably renounce (reject, abandon) him to rule and pick me instead! At least I know how to….” Inuyasha started unaware of the danger he was getting himself into (this wasn’t about Sango’s boomerang danger) Still….

BONK! Sango hit him with her boomerang.

“I dare you to say that again! Sesshomaru’s army is everywhere! They’ll torture you, ‘skin you alive’ then assassinate you very painfully if they hear you! You’re talking TREASON idiot!” Sango hissed (paling slightly) and about to peek to see if anyone was outside.

“Owww! Keh! You wench! Almost like you and---and (Inuyasha stopped and thought for a second) you and Naraku mating! Yeah! Now that would make you two a very weird couple too!” Inuyasha said apparently not hearing her? Hard to tell really.

‘………’

“Inuyasha that’s really enough.” Miroku said sighing. Naraku and Sango? Really? Where in the world did Inuyasha get that from? It wasn’t even something to get irritated over. Even annoyed. It was almost like dafuq you talking about? No seriously?

“…In dire situations like this we must remember to….” Miroku started in his ‘wise monk’ mode.

“Ah shut-it stupid monk! Nobody cares!” Inuyasha said and stormed outside, sword and all.

“Houshi….” Sango looked at him very worried. Inuyasha was going to do something or say something stupid and then get himself killed wondering why she wanted to go ‘save his life’

-Kagome and Sesshomaru-

Kagome’s heart thudded (wondering if this was a good time to run) and wondered what the soldiers—however many were coming would do or say once they saw her with their esteemed lord. They’d pick up her ‘Miko aura/power’ fast no doubt---so then GASP! Was she trying to purify Sesshomaru?! Ha-ha. What a joke and she shook her head having the urge to laugh out loud.

‘………..’

Kagome sighed looking at Sesshomaru’s back. Seemed like he was protecting her? But she was fully dressed now! That wasn’t the issue though and peeked her head to see 10…15…how many? Soldiers suddenly feeling irritated. Like Sesshomaru was in danger and needed ‘saving’ like a princess who had been kidnapped. Feh.

“Sesshomaru-sama.” A few guards said bowing respectfully---and then one stepped up from behind them dressed differently than the others as he addressed himself as General Soji from the Imperial army. The army that protected Sesshomaru and the Royal Family.

Figured….

Soji noticed her black hair and blue eyes behind Sesshomaru’s white silk and raised an eyebrow. Miko…a powerful one---and at such a young age. The look she was giving him was rather amusing since he could ‘cut her down’ in a less than a second. Where had Sesshomaru picked her up from?

“This is lady Kagome---a powerful Miko who will be joining us in the western lands.” Sesshomaru said. Many soldiers shifted feeling uncomfortable, nervous even. Why did they need a Miko in the palace? She’d purify their asses if she got angry!

‘Powerful? Not even’. Need more training Sesshomaru!’ Kagome said mentally to him and cried inwardly.
