“You’re not honestly gonna do this are you? He’s a menace. He doesn’t deserve your sympathy.” Sango screeched over the phone. Kagome rolled her eyes at her sister.

“You just don’t understand Sango. He may have been my friend, but Inuyasha was his brother. They may not always get along, but that doesn’t mean he needs to spend Christmas alone.”

Sango huffed. “Just promise you’ll be careful. Those two didn’t speak for a reason.”

“I will. I’m here. I’ll talk to you later.” Kagome tossed her phone in her purse and cut the engine.

Ringing the doorbell, she anxiously waited.
