Kagome rolled her eyes and opened the car door. There really was no point in arguing with him. She already knew it, but it was the principle of the matter.

“I hardly think that’s unreasonable. You’ll be gone for five days. I don’t understand the sudden need to be protective.”

Sesshoumaru took her bag from the trunk and followed. “I seem to recall a time when you were in need of frequent rescuing.”

“That’s not the point. No one’s gonna attack here.”

“That is precisely why you will stay.”

Kagome groaned but made herself at home.
