Kagome reacted without thinking, she immediately sprung up and dove to the left, just narrowly avoiding the, what seemed to be an octopus demon’s, tentacle that came flying towards her.  She grabbed her bow and aimed it at the demon, the tip of the arrow began to glow brightly pink and as she let it fly she hit the tentacle flying for her; the piece was immediately purified.

This isn’t going to be easy, it has so many arms…and Inuyasha is injured, what should I do about him?  Kagome thought to herself, unfortunately in these few seconds the demon hit her in the stomach with an arm and sent her flying into the forest.  It distracted the demon though, as it had begun to come towards her, looking insatiably at the jewel shards that hung from her neck.  Suddenly she got an idea.  Sorry Inuyasha.

“You want these jewel shards, come and get them!”  Kagome said as she took off running and like she thought the octopus followed her and they both just left Inuyasha behind without a second thought.
